Temple Football Adds Three to 2022 Recruiting Class

PHILADELPHIA – Temple Football head coach Stan Drayton continues to build his football team with the additions of three players to his initial recruiting class. Temple added offensive lineman James Faminu, outside linebacker Jacob Porter, and wide receiver Ian Stewart to the 2022 roster.
 
Faminu, a redshirt freshman, and Stewart, a redshirt sophomore, come by way of the transfer portal. Porter, graduating from high school this spring, will be a true freshman. All three will join the team this summer.

High School: Played defensive end and was a two-year letterwinner for North Allegheny High under head coach Art Walker … had 37 tackles, including 9.0 sacks as a senior … also lettered in track for three seasons … Personal: Born Jacob Elijah Porter … parents are Christy and Joey Porter … father was an all-pro linebacker playing 13 NFL seasons with Pittsburgh, Miami, and Arizona … brother Joey Jr. plays for Penn State … has two sisters, Jailah and Jasmine … list of favorites include: The Fifth Season (book), Simone Biles (professional athlete), Euphoria (TV show) … plans to major in political science.
