Men’s Tennis to Host Drexel for Senior Day on Friday, George Mason on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's tennis (9-8) is set to host two matches this week, starting with Drexel (7-5) on Friday, Apr. 8 at 2 p.m at the TU Pavilion. The match against the Dragons will serve as senior day for the Owls, with the senior ceremony beginning at 1:45. Following the match Friday, Temple will remain on their home court to host George Mason (6-5) on Sunday at 11 a.m.

- The Owls return home after a weekend in Dallas, Tx., where they faced off against three highly ranked American Athletic Conference opponents. The Cherry and White put up a good fight, but ultimately fell to No. 31 SMU, No. 37 Memphis and Wichita State.
- Marin Delmas has claimed the No. 1 position for the Owls in singles play, posting a 9-4 singles record to lead the team.
- Delmas is joined by partner Louis Gorregues in doubles play, where the pair has posted a 6-4 dual record, including a 2-3 showing from the No. 1 spot and a 4-1 performance from the No. 2 spot.
- The Dragons enter the match, most recently falling to CAA opponent James Madison, 6-1.
- Matvey Radionov is the team leader in singles play in 2021-22, posting a 13-7 mark which includes a 7-3 dual mark and a 6-4 tournament performance.
- The duo of Alex De Sousa and Xandy Hammitt have claimed the No. 1 position in doubles play, posting an even 4-4 performance.
- The Patriots enter the match with a 6-5 record, falling most recently to Longwood and Richmond, 4-3 in early April. George Mason's trip to Philadelphia will start prior to their match against Temple, as they are set to face off against Saint Joseph's on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
- Rishab Sardana has played primarily in the No. 1 singles position for the Patriots, racking up a 2-6 dual record. Momin Khan leads the team in singles performance, posting a 5-3 record from the No. 3 spot.
- The duo of Ryan Charles and Sardana have shown their dominance this year in doubles competition from the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, leading the team with a 7-7 record which includes a 4-2 dual mark and 3-5 tournament showing.
