PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's tennis (11-4) earned their eleventh win of the season, which includes five straight after downing Villanova (3-8), 4-2 on Saturday morning.

"I'm really happy with our performance today, especially in singles," head coach Steve Mauro said. "The weather was not ideal and it was very windy, but the team played very smart tennis to help us earn the win to go back-to-back on the weekend."

The Owls will return to action on Sunday, Apr. 17 as they travel to Oklahoma to take on American Athletic Conference opponent, Tulsa.

- The Owls earned the doubles point after the pairings of Sena Takebe and Evie Wei along with Yining Tian and Veronika Kulhava posted 6-2 wins from the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
- The Cherry and White found three more points in singles play, posting wins in the third, fifth and sixth positions, as the fourth position went unfinished. The additional three points would prove to be enough to take home the win over the Wildcats.
