Lacrosse Captain Gabrielle Kirsch Returns for Fifth Year

PHILADELPHIA- Gabrielle Kirsch, a 5-5 midfielder who was selected as a captain for the 2022 season, will return to Temple University for a fifth season via Covid-19 eligibility waiver, the Temple lacrosse program announced Tuesday. This will be her final year on North Broad.

Kirsch has played in 58 games over her last four years with the Owls. She appeared in every game Temple played during her first three seasons in Cherry and White, before seeing limited action in 2022 due to injury. Over the course of her Temple career Kirsch has scored 22 goals and passed for 16 assists. On the defensive end, the midfielder has also found ways to impact the game, racking up 43 ground balls.

Temple lacrosse is looking to build off back-to-back impressive seasons in 2023. The program will return the majority of a core that won 11 games last season, including six All-Conference players and two of the four captains. The Owls will begin fall exhibition play in late September.
