TULSA, Okla. – Temple women's soccer (0-3-4, 0-1-0 AAC) fell to Tulsa (5-3-1, 1-0-0 AAC) on Thursday evening by a final score of 1-0. This match served as the conference opener for both squads and the final match of the Owls six-game road stretch. A 15^th minute Golden Hurricane goal would prove to be enough to carry Tulsa to the 1-0 victory.

How it Happened

Tulsa came out with intensity, converting on an opportunity in the box in the 15^th minute of play, sending a grounder into the bottom right corner of the goal to take the early lead.
The Owls fought back, beginning to shift the momentum as time ticked down in the first half, but the Tulsa defense remained consistent, keeping the Cherry and White off the board to end the 45 minutes.
Both teams came out looking to control the game off the second half starting whistle, but neither team could break through the opponent backline.
Temple found an opening in the 82^nd minute after Phoebe Hollin sent a ball into the box on a free kick. Carly Steinberg got a head on it, sending it into the back of the net but it was revoked due to an offsides violation, ending the game 1-0.

"We let an opportunity slip through our hands tonight," head coach Nick Bochette said. "Although there was certainly improvement and we created opportunities, we need to find a way to get results in games like this. We're looking forward to hosting SMU next week and being back at home for the first time in over a month."
