PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's cross country team started their season off with a top three finish at the Lehigh Invitational on Friday evening. Competing against Big 5 schools La Salle and Saint Joseph's among others, the Owls scored 69 points to take home third place.

The Cherry & White were led by freshman Elvira Bredin who enjoyed a stellar debut with a fourth-place finish overall. Bredin was followed by fellow freshman Michelle Frowijn who finised in seventh place. Emily Schuler rounded out the top 10 with a time of 22:25.3.
