ST. PAUL, Minn. – Temple Women's Cross Country placed 16th out of 20 teams at the 36th Annual Roy Griak Invitational on Friday. Taking part in the high-level meet, the Owls were one spot better than Wichita State, the only other American Athletic Conference team competing in the event.

Temple's Results

"We didn't have a full squad racing today which reflected in the results. When it became apparent one of our ladies was out of the competition I knew it was going to be tough to pull through with a strong result.
Despite some of the challenges we faced today, I'm happy with how our five that finished ran. I thought the freshmen raced really well. This was the most competitive field the ladies have been a part of to date.
There are some things we need to work on, but it is still early. Progression isn't linear; especially in our sport, so keeping things in perspective is essential. We're trying to build something long term here. I'm confident with more training and race experience throughout October the women will be in a better spot heading into the post-season."
