Owls in the NFL - Week 18

PHILADELPHIA- With the NFL regular season coming to a close, many of our former Owls matched up against past teammates and other TU Football alumni. Lets see how they performed in Week 18.
 
William Kwenkeu (2016-21) and the Minnesota Vikings defeated recently activated former Owl, Harrison Hand (2017-19) and NFC North division rivals, the Chicago Bears, 29-13. Kwenkeu recorded his first two tackles and one tackle-for-loss, while Hand had a career-high nine tackles and a forced fumble.
 
Arnold Ebiketie (2017-20), Matt Hennessy (2016-19) and the Atlanta Falcons defeated former Owl, Todd Bowles (1982-85) and NFC South division rivals, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 30-17.
 
Dion Dawkins (2013-16), Tyler Matakevich (2012-15), and the Buffalo Bills defeated AFC East division rivals, the New England Patriots, 35-23 to secure the number two seed in the AFC. Dawkins and the Bills offense accrued over 300 yards in the win. Safety Damar Hamlin, who suffered cardiac arrest last Monday, was released from the hospital recently. Players and coaches across the NFL showed their support for Damar by wearing shirts and hats with sentiment for him.
 
Former Owls - Sean Chandler (2014-17), Sam Franklin (2016-19), Matt Ioannidis (2012-15), P.J. Walker (2013-16) and the Carolina Panthers defeated former Owl, Kieth Kirkwood (2014-17) and NFC South division rivals, the New Orleans Saints, 10-7.
 
With Shaun Bradley (2016-19) inactive, Hassan Reddick (2013-16) helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 22-16 victory over former Owls, Chris Myarick (2016-18), Quincy Roche (2016-19), and NFC East division rivals, the New York Giants. Reddick had one tackle and three quarterback hits, as the Eagles secured the number one seed in the NFC.
 
Brandon McManus (2009-12) and the Denver Broncos defeated AFC West division rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers, 31-28. McManus scored seven points (1 FG & 4 PATs) in the win.
 
Robbie Anderson (2011-13, 2015), Michael Dogbe (2015-18), and the Arizona Cardinals lost to NFC West division rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, 38-13.
