PHILADELPHIA - In Week 17, Todd Bowles (1982-85) and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers completed a second half, come from behind victory against NFC South division rivals, the Carolina Panthers, and former Owls - Sean Chandler (2014-17), Sam Franklin (2016-19), Matt Ioannidis (2012-15), and P.J. Walker (2013-16), 30-24. Bowles and the Buccaneers became NFC South division champions and clinched a playoff berth. Ioannidis had three tackles and one quarterback hit, while Franklin had one tackle.
Arnold Ebiketie (2017-20), Matt Hennessy (2016-19) and the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Arizona Cardinals and former Owls - Robbie Anderson (2011-13, 2015) and Michael Dogbe (2015-18). The Atlanta Falcons won 20-19 on a field goal as time expired. Ebiketie had one tackle, while Dogbe had four. Anderson reeled in one reception for 13 yards.
Chris Myarick (2016-18), Quincy Roche (2016-19), and the New York Giants clinched their first playoff berth since 2016 with a dominating 38-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
Hassan Reddick (2013-16), Shaun Bradley (2016-19), and the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the New Orleans Saints, 20-10. Reddick still had five tackles, two sacks, two tackles-for-loss, and two quarterback hits. Keith Kirkwood (2014-17) was activated for the New Orleans Saints this week.
With Jacob Martin (2014-17) on IR for the rest of the season, Brandon McManus (2009-12) led the Denver Broncos into Kansas City for an AFC West divisional matchup. The game went down to the fourth quarter, but the Chiefs would prevail with a final score of 27-24. McManus drilled a 49-yard field goal and made three extra points, scoring six points total in the game.
William Kwenkeu (2016-21) and the Minnesota Vikings lost to NFC North division rivals, the Green Bay Packers, 41-17.
Rock Ya-Sin (2018) was placed on IR Thursday. The Las Vegas Raiders lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 37-34.
On Monday Night, Dion Dawkins (2013-16), Tyler Matakevich (2012-15), and the Buffalo Bills went up against the Cincinnati Bengals. The game was postponed due to a Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffering a cardiac arrest during the first quarter.
