TULSA, OKLA. – Temple women's soccer (2-11-3, 0-7-0 AAC) fell 5-0 loss at Tulsa (4-7-5, 2-1-4 AAC) Thursday afternoon. This was the ninth matchup between the Owls and the Golden Hurricane.
How it Happened
- Tulsa scored an early goal in the third minute of the game.
- Temple's offense picked up tempo, with two shots kicked by Beky Myers and Jessica Carrieri within a three-minute span, but the Golden Hurricane scored a second goal in the 12th minute.
- Julie Jakobsen blocked a close-range Tulsa shot in the 32nd minute, but the Owls would trail 2-0 at the half.
- Yazmeen Smith and Jillian Allgood each took a shot on goal in the first half.
- The second half began with the ball in Tulsa's defensive third, but the team scored three goals in a ten-minute span to seal the 5-0 win.
- The Owls concluded the game with 12 shots, six saves, and five corner-kicks.
