Owls in the NFL: Week 7

PHILADELPHIA- Week 7 of the NFL included a standout comeback performance by former Owls' quarterback P.J. Walker (2013-16) of the Cleveland Browns, as well as several wins for our other former Owls.

On Thursday Night, Brandon McManus (2009-12), Christian Braswell (2018-20), and the Jacksonville Jaguars beat former Owl, Keith Kirkwood (2014-17) and the New Orleans Saints, 31-24. McManus scored seven points (1 FG & 4PATs).

After Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson went down with an injury, P.J. Walker helped lead the Browns to a late fourth quarter, 39-38 victory over former Owl, Jacob Martin (2014-17) and the Indianapolis Colts. Walker completed 15 of his 32 attempts, passing for 178 yards and completing a game winning drive with 15 seconds left in the game.

Arnold Ebiketie (2017-20) and the Atlanta Falcons beat NFC South division rivals, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Todd Bowles (1982-85), 16-13. Ebiketie recorded one tackle in the victory.

Rock Ya-Sin (2018) and the Baltimore Ravens dominated the Detroit Lions in a 38-6 win at home. Ya-Sin recorded one tackle and one pass defended as the Ravens' defense allowed just six points.

On Sunday Night, Haason Reddick (2013-16) and the Philadelphia Eagles got back in the win column after defeating the Miami Dolphins, 31-17. Reddick recorded four tackles and two tackles for loss.

Dion Dawkins (2013-16), Tyler Matakevich (2012-15), and the Buffalo Bills lost to AFC East division rivals, the New England Patriots, 29-25. The Bills offense was still able to accrue over 300 yards and over 30 minutes of possession.

Sam Franklin (2016-19) and the Carolina Panthers had their bye week.
