Four Owls Advance to ITA Super Regionals

NEW YORK - Four Owls have advanced out of the ITA Women's Northeast Regional Championships, qualifying for the Super Regionals later this month. Maiko Uchijima, Samantha Nanere, Marianthi Christoforidou, and Thamara Frasser Kawaratani will each represent Temple women's tennis, with Christoforidou and Frasser Kawaratani competing as a doubles pair and Uchijima and Nanere competing in singles action and automatically qualifying as a doubles pair.

Jessie Zheng and Evie Wei also competed at the event, hosted by Columbia, with Wei advancing to the Round of 64 and Zheng advancing to the Round of 32 in singles action while Christoforidou advanced to the round of 16. In doubles action, Zheng and Wei advanced to the Round of 32.
