PHILADELPHIA — The Manning Award, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, has named Temple quarterback E.J. Warner as one of eight "Stars of the Week" for Week 10.

In Temple's 32-18 victory over Navy, Warner completed 27 of 33 passes for 402 yards and four passing touchdowns. The passing yardage marks the fourth time in his career that the sophomore has eclipsed 400 passing yards in a game, which is a program record. His 82% completion percentage was also good for a career high.

The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates' bowl performances in its balloting. Since the Manning Award started recognizing Stars of the Week in 2011, 518 different quarterbacks from 133 schools have been recognized. Sixty players were honored during the 2022 season while 54 quarterbacks have been recognized so far this year.

The eight Manning Stars of the Week are Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss), TJ Finley (Texas State), Jordan McCloud (James Madison), Jalen Milroe (Alabama), Bo Nix (Oregon), Jeff Undercuffler Jr. (Akron), E.J. Warner (Temple), and Jacob Zeno (UAB).
