Three Owls earn All-ECAC accolades

PHILADELPHIA — The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announces its 2023 Division I FBS All-ECAC team and major awards, with three Temple football players earning spots on the list.
Tight end David Martin-Robinson led the way for Temple's offense, earning a spot on the Football Bowl Subdivision All-ECAC Offensive team. Martin-Robinson was a staple for the Owls' offense this season, tallying 40 receptions and 537 receiving yards. He reached the 1,000-yard mark in receiving for his career, becoming just the third Temple tight end to accomplish the feat.
Linebacker Jordan Magee and safety Tywan Francis both earned spots on the All-ECAC Defensive team. Magee led Temple this season with 80 tackles and 14 tackles for loss. He ranked second in the AAC with 1.39 tackles for loss per game and third in the AAC with 7.89 tackles per game.
Francis joined the Owls as a transfer prior to the 2023 season and made an immediate impact in the secondary. He totaled 78 tackles and two interceptions across 11 games played. Francis ranked ninth in the AAC with 7.09 tackles per game.

The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-five-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the Northeast. The ECAC also hosts a comprehensive esports program that presently involves 160 schools fielding 1100 teams across 14 different esports games, streamed live four nights a week. The ECAC's esports platform has and continues to expand the geographic footprint of the Conference nationally.
