Feyonda Fitzgerald Signs Contract with the Chicago Sky

PHILADELPHIA – Feyonda Fitzgerald, who starred on the Temple University women's basketball team from 2013-17, has signed a professional training camp contract with the Chicago Sky as announced by the club on February 5. Fitzgerald had a decorated career on North Broad, highlighted by being named Honorable Mention All-America in her senior season.
Fitzgerald was originally selected by Indiana in the second round (No. 20 overall) of the 2017 WNBA Draft. She currently plays overseas with Antalya 07 in Turkey, where she leads her team in scoring with 23.1 points, adding 4.8 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 36.8 minutes of play.
The native of Norfolk, Virginia All-AAC received honors in three of her four seasons, earning Second Team honors as a freshman and junior and First Team honors as a senior. She was also named Second Team All-Big 5 as a freshman and junior, and First Team as a senior, as well as earning Big 5 Player of the Year. In her senior season, Fitzgerald led an Owls squad that spent several weeks ranked in the top 25 and earned an at-large berth in the NCAA tournament as a seven seed. Fitzgerald led the team in scoring (17.3 ppg) and had the best passing season in program history, racking up 232 assists, the most any Temple player had had in a single season.
Fitzgerald is also the all-time leader in career assists by a huge margin, she has 635 assists to her name, the next highest is Donna Kennedy with 507. She is tied for first with Kennedy in assists per game (4.7 apg). Fitzgerald is fifth in career points (1,824), seventh in field goals (637), second in free throws (402), and fourth in free throw percentage (.791).
