Men’s Tennis to Honor Seniors in Friday Match with Georgetown

PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's tennis (17-4) will play host to the Georgetown Hoyas (10-7) on Friday afternoon, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. The match will serve as senior day for Temple honoring Marin Delmas, Thibault Frumholz, and Louis Gorregues for their contributions to the team.

THE OWLS:

Marin Delmas, Thibault Frumholz, and Louis Gorregues will all be recognized for their contributions to the team before the match. Throughout this spring season, all three student-athletes combined for 41 wins and only 10 losses in singles play which helped guide the Owls to a 17-4 record.
Temple dropped its most recent match against No. 50 Princeton on Tuesday, April 11. The match was close throughout as Temple had a 3-1 lead but let it slip away in the end to the Tigers.
Friday's match against Georgetown will mark the second-to-last regular season match for the Owls as they're scheduled to face Wichita St. in Orlando, FL., on Tuesday, April 18 before the AAC Tournament begins on Friday, April 21.
The top doubles team of Leo Raquin and Thibault Frumholz are still a perfect 9-0 from the first position. They have a 15-3 overall record with nine appearances in either the second or third in addition to their success at the top.

SCOUTING GEORGETOWN:

The Hoyas are 3-1 in the last four matches, but are coming off a loss to the University of Delaware on Saturday, April 8 by a final score of 4-3.
After visiting Temple on Friday, Georgetown will then head to Villanova's campus for the second half of a back-to-back as they will face the Wildcats on Saturday, April 15. This will mark the final game of the conference schedule for Georgetown as the Hoyas are 4-3 in the Big East so far this spring.
Luke Ross and Andrew Rozanov lead Georgetown with five wins each throughout spring play thus far. Ross is 4-1 from the fifth position while Rozanov is 4-2 from the sixth.
Friday will mark the sixth meeting between both the Hoyas and Temple Owls in a men's tennis match. Georgetown leads the series five games to one, but Temple's sole win came at home back on February 6, 2011.
