Women’s Rowing contends at Women’s Sprints in Massachusetts

4.30.23 | Women's Rowing

WORCESTER, Mass. — The Temple Women's Rowing team competed against a large field of respected competitors at the 2023 Women's Sprints in Worcester, Massachusetts on Sunday, April 30.

The Owls raced five boats, qualifying four to the Petite Finals and one to the Third Finals. Temple's Varsity Eight boat took home the highest placement of the day, finishing third in the Petite Final for the event.

"To have four of five boats out-place their seeds at Sprints was a team-wide success at one of the fastest and deepest races of the season," Temple Head Coach Rebecca Grzybowski said. "The Varsity Eight threw down two incredibly tight, aggressive and mature races and is really gaining traction. Overall as a team we are in a strong spot. I am feeling excited as we head into conference champs in two weeks and also as we look ahead to future seasons."
