Wei and Uchijima to Represent Temple in NCAA Tournament

PHILADELPHIA – Graduate-student Jamie Wei and freshman Maiko Uchijima will represent Temple as a doubles team in the 2023 NCAA D1 Women's Tennis Championship, as announced by the NCAA Tuesday.
Wei and Uchijima will join 31 other doubles teams from around the nation to compete at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, FL. The tournament will begin on Monday, May 22 and end with a champion being crowned on May 27.
The Temple duo had an unforgettable season since making a run to the quarter-final round of the ITA National Competition in the fall. Wei and Uchijima helped guide the Owls to a 17-5 record, achieving the team's highest win total since the 2015 season. On the court, the duo garnered a 28-2 record of their own losing only once since the fall competition.
The pair has been ranked as high as No. 5 by the ITA, and currently sits at No. 25
A bracket with an official opponent or match time has not yet been released.
