Women's Soccer Wins First Victory of The Season With A Shutout Over Lehigh

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer (1-3-1) recorded their first goal and win of the season against the Lehigh Mountain Hawks. This was the second of four-city opponent matches this season.Â

How it Happened Â
- The Owls offensively dominated the first half with three shots in the first fifteen minutes, courtesy of Shari Atkins and Phoebe Hollin. Â
- Taylor Vecchione started her first half of the season with a save.Â
- The Cherry and White ended the first half with 11 shots, led by Yazmeen Smith (3). Â
- Once more, Temple started the second half strong with Nicole Sweeney kicking a beemer to the far-left corner, netting the first goal of the season.Â
-Temple ended the game leading  in corner kicks (8), shots (15), and shots on goal (8).Â

- Vecchione's first game of the season was also her first shutout of the season, closing the match with five saves.

- There was only one card throughout the game, which was pulled against Temple.  Â
