Owls in the NFL: Week 2

PHILADELPHIA- Week two in the NFL consisted of some close games between former Owls teammates, as well as some impressive Monday night performances.
The action began Thursday night when Haason Reddick (2013-16) and the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Minnesota Vikings, 34-28, in their return to Lincoln Financial Field.
Dion Dawkins (2013-16), Tyler Matakevich (2012-15), and the Buffalo Bills bounced back after their Week 1 loss and defeated the Las Vegas Raiders, 38-10. The Bills offense had 40 minutes of possession and gained 450 yards. Matakevich continued his work on special teams.
Arnold Ebiketie (2017-20) and the Atlanta Falcons beat the Green Bay Packers, 25-24, after a fourth quarter comeback. Ebiketie recorded two tackles and a quarterback hit.
Jacob Martin (2014-17) and the Indianapolis Colts beat AFC South division rivals, the Houston Texans and former teammate Michael Dogbe (2014-18), 31-20. Dogbe recorded one tackle in his Texans debut and Martin had one tackle, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one quarterback hit in the win.
Rock Ya-Sin (2018) and the Baltimore Ravens beat AFC North division rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, 27-24. Ya-Sin recorded one pass defended.
Brandon McManus (2009-12), Christian Braswell (2018-20) and the Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, 17-9, in a 2022 AFC Divisional round rematch. McManus scored nine points (3 FGs), including a 49-yard field goal.
It was an electric Monday night for former Temple wide receiver Keith Kirkwood (2014-17) of the New Orleans Saints and Sam Franklin (2016-19) of the Carolina Panthers. The two faced off against each other in an NFC South divisional matchup. Kirkwood and the Saints would go on to win, 20-17.
