Women's Soccer to Play Second Conference Game in Florida Against FAU

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple women's soccer (2-5-3 AAC) team will travel to Boca Raton, Florida to play against Florida Atlantic University (3-4-2 AAC) on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. This marks the Owls' second conference game of the season.

Scouting Temple
- The Owls topped the UPenn Quakers 2-1 on Sunday afternoon, generating 13 shots on goal and four corner kicks. This is the highest number of shots on goal that Temple has recorded in a single game thus far. Temple stands at a record of 2-5-3 (0-1-0 AAC).
- Yazmeen Smith scored her first career goal for the Cherry and White against UPenn, kicking a shot to the top left corner of the goal.
- Beky Myers logged her third goal of the season, establishing herself as the leading goal-scorer of the Owls.
- Phoebe Hollin has kicked 44 corner kicks for Temple. Hollin has recorded four shots on goal.
- Senior, Taylor Vecchione, and freshman, Tamsin Bynoe, continue to split time in the net. Vecchione has recorded 30 saves for the Owls this season while Bynoe has logged 37 saves.

Scouting FAU
- The Florida Owls stand at a record of 3-4-2 (0-1-0 AAC).
- FAU finished first in the C-USA last season, and opened the 2023 season with 2-2 tie against Little Rock Arkansas University..
-The team returns sophomore goalkeeper, Blythe Braun, who has logged 649 minutes for the Owls thus far this season. She has made 21 saves.
- Morgan McDonald, a sophomore midfielder also returns for the Owls. McDonald recorded two goals and three assists during the 2022 season. She has tallied one assist during the 2023 season thus far.
- Patrick Baker enters his eleventh season as the head coach for FAU. Baker has led the Owls to eight straight appearances in the Conference USA Championship Tournament. Baker has coached in all NCAA divisions and was named Co-Conference Coach of the Year in 2015.

- This is the first match between the two opponents. FAU is new to the American Athletic Conference this year.
