Women's Soccer Falls to FAU After a Lengthy Game Delay on Thursday

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Temple women's soccer (2-6-3, 0-2-0 AAC) fell 2-0 at FAU (4-4-2, 1-1-0 AAC) Thursday night. This marked the second conference game of the season, and the first matchup between the Philadelphia Owls and the Florida Owls.
How it Happened
- There was a weather delay lasting until 9:25 p.m.
- The match began in the Owls' defensive end, with Temple only allowing one shot from FAU within the first ten minutes.
- FAU scored in the 23rd minute.
- Phoebe Hollin placed two corner kicks for the Owls during the first half.
- The Owls created a few strong opportunities at the end of the half, initiated by Hollin and Jessica Carrieri.
- Beky Myers struck a firm, high shot from outside of the 18-yard box to start the second half. The ball was cushioned by the FAU goalkeeper.
- Tamsin Bynoe came off of her line to prevent two crosses from progressing, but FAU scored a second goal at the 83-minute mark.
- Temple applied a high-line of pressure to FAU throughout the half, but couldn't find the back of the net.
