Women's Soccer Ties Saint Joseph's at Sweeney Field

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer (1-4-2) recorded a tie against the Saint Joseph's Hawks. This was the Owls' third road game of the season.
How it Happened
- The Owls immediately turned on their offensive gear at the first whistle of the game.
- Shari Atkins had her first beaming shot of the game within the first three minutes of the first half.
- Beky Myers scored the first goal of her Temple career by kicking a blast to the top left corner.
-The Cherry and White finished the first half leading in shots.
-In a two-shot series by SJU to start the second half, Phoebe Hollin blocks a blazer with her body, which was then shot again and shut down by Taylor Vecchione.
-Vecchione made four saves in the first ten minutes of the second half.
- Phoebe Hollin struck three corner kicks for Temple, each within a few minutes of one another.
-In a very eventful final five minutes of the game, the Owls created three chances to score a second goal, but each chance was deflected.

- Myers scored her first Temple career goal.
-Temple attempted the most shots on goal (6) against the Hawks out of the games they have played thus far.
-Vecchione made five saves in her 90 minutes on the pitch.
