Women's Tennis Announces Fall 2023-Spring 2024 Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – After a historic fall 2022 season, which included a run in the ITA Fall National Championship for two student-athletes, and a high-winning spring 2023 season, which earned the team's participation in the AAC Championship, Temple women's tennis is set for a highly competitive year. Head Coach Steve Mauro has announced the invitational-heavy fall schedule which is set to open Sept. 8th, and the 20-match spring schedule which is set to open on Jan. 20.
"We're looking forward to the upcoming fall season. We are excited to watch the performance of our new players," said Mauro. "They bring great experience and knowledge to the team, and I feel they will help our program move to the next level. We had such great success last fall, we hope achieve it again."
The Owls will open the fall season up the road at Penn, where they will participate in the Penn Invite from Sept. 8-10. Just five days later, Temple Women's Tennis will host the Temple Invite at TU Pavillion from Sept. 15-17. The following Friday, the Owls will venture back to Penn for the Cissie Leary Invitational from Sept. 22-24.
The Cherry and White will conclude their fall season in New York, attending the ITA Regionals from Oct. 6-8 and the ITA Super Regionals from Oct. 19-22.
The Owls will open their spring season on the road, traveling to Greenville, N.C., to compete against ECU on Jan. 20. In a one day turn around Temple will take on VCU on Jan. 21.
To start off February matches, the Cherry and White will compete in New Jersey against Princeton on Feb. 2. Eight days later, the Owls will host their spring home-opener against Siena College on Feb. 10. Temple will continue its home-stretch at the TU Pavillion, hosting Villanova (Feb 11), NSU (Feb 23), and Howard (Feb 24).
Temple will begin March hosting Wagner on March 3 and FDU on March 5. The Owls will then hit the road to take on NJIT on March 8, followed by a home game vs Drexel on March 17 and another road game against Penn on March 22. After the March 24 matches at William and Mary, the Owls will host three home competitions in Delaware State on March 26, Binghamton on March 30, and Hampton on April 6.
The Cherry and White will close their season on the road, with matches at Tulsa against North Texas on April 13 and Tulsa on April 14.
