Green Bazan and Kempe Receive Philly Soccer Six Honors

10.2.24 | Men's Soccer

PHILADELPHIA -  After two matches against Saint Joseph's and FAU, defender Kemali Green, midfielder Edgar Bazan and goalkeeper Andrew Kempe each were named to the Philly Soccer Six honor roll.

Edgar Bazan competed in both of Temple's matches this past week, against Saint Joseph's (Sept. 24) and against FAU (Sept. 29). Bazan scored the first goal of his collegiate career against Florida Atlantic. His goal in the 69th minute gave the Owls the 1-0 advantage as TU would wind up drawing against Florida Atlantic 1-1.

Andrew Kempe was in goal for Temple's conference match against Florida Atlantic on Sunday, Sept. 29. Kempe led the way in the first half with two saves as TU held FAU scoreless through the first 45 minutes, helping the Owls to a 1-1 draw.

Kemali Green played a key role in both of Temple's games last week, starting and competing against both Saint Joseph's and FAU. Green was crucial in the first halves of each match as Temple didn't surrender a goal thanks to Green's defensive efforts. Green played 180 minutes through these two matches, never seeing the bench.

Temple will next gear up for a matchup against South Florida on Saturday night from Tampa, Fla. The action is slated to start at 7:00 p.m.
