PHILADELPHIA- Temple women's soccer battled UAB in its final home game of the season Sunday morning and fell 2-1. Phoebe Hollin made her mark by scoring her first goal of the season, making it a special moment in her last appearance wearing Cherry & White at the Temple Sports Complex.

How it happened

The Owls' defense demonstrated solid communication in the first half, successfully keeping the Blazers offside five times.
Temple took the lead in the 78th minute when Hollin scored from a free kick just outside the 18-yard box.
After being down in the second half the UAB mustered some offense around the 80th minute generating three shots in two minutes.
The Blazers took control late in the match, scoring back-to-back goals in the 86th and 87th minutes to secure a one-goal lead.

By the numbers

Carly Steinberg started in her fourth match of the season playing all 90 minutes leading the team in shots with four.
The Owls featured an all-senior lineup, including Hailey Morris and Reese Henderson, who both made their first starts of the year. This setup allowed Hollin to play in center midfield, where she controlled the ball for the Owls the first half.
Goalkeeper Tamsin Bynoe recorded six saves in the match, five of which came in the second half. With a total of 114 saves this season, she ranks ninth in Temple history.
