Men's Golf Finishes First Day of FAU Invitational

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - The Temple men's golf team played the first 36 holes of the FAU Invitational on Monday. The Owls stand in 12th place heading into the third and final round on Tuesday.

- Senior Ethan Whitney was the top performer for the Owls, shooting 73-77 to stand in a tie for 46th.
- Whitney carded five birdies over 36 holes and had an impressive finish to his first round, going two-under par over his final seven holes.
- Senior Jake Naese shot 74-78 and is two shots behind Whitney, while Aidan Emmerich, Michael Walsh and Joey Morganti also saw action.
- USF leads the team portion of the competition at three-over par, while Christian Figueredo of FGCU leads all individuals at six-under par.
- The third and final round of the FAU Invitational will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 29, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
