Lacrosse Falls to 4-2 with Loss to #13 Pennsylvania

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's lacrosse team dropped their second game in a row on Wednesday, an 11-6 final score vs. #13 Pennsylvania. The Owls are now 4-2 on their season opening seven-game homestand.
Belle Mastropietro and Amelia Wright each scored twice for the Owls, and Katie Shallow posted six caused turnovers and three ground balls.
How it Happened
> Both teams were held off the scoreboard until the 6:21 mark of the first until Penn scored first. The Quakers added another before Hannah Schrader netted Temple's first at the 3:43 mark.
> Wright scored the Owls's only goal of the second, and the Temple defense allowed only one Penn goal on three shot attempts.
> Mastropietro brought the Owls within one with a goal 90 seconds after halftime, but Penn responded with a 7-1 run over the next 21 minutes to pull away.
> Wright and Mia Ciancio got two back for Temple with goals under six minutes to play.
