Mastropietro Earns Second AAC Midfielder of the Week Honor

IRVING, Tex. - Grad student Belle Mastropietro has been named American Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Week, announced by the league on Monday. It is her second conference weekly award this season, both coming in the last three weeks.
Mastropietro led Temple with four goals, two assists, and seven draw controls in the Owls' 10-8 comeback win over Vanderbilt on Saturday. It was her second consecutive four goal game and third hat trick in a row, and fifth overall. Her six total points and seven draw controls were also season highs. She leads the team and ranks top five in the American in goals (25, 2.78/game), assists (11, 1.22/game), draw controls (33, 3.22/game) and free-position goals (9, 1.0/game, .60 percentage).Â
Mastropietro and the Owls will continue conference play at ECU on Saturday at 12:00pm.
