Temple Football Hosts its Annual Pro Day

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple Football program played host to its annual Pro Day on Monday, March 25, as a dozen former Owls participated in the event in front of a group of NFL scouts representing over two dozen teams. With just one invitation to the NFL Combine this year for these players, the Pro Day marked the best opportunity for the athletes to showcase their talent in front of NFL personnel.

Senior linebacker Jordan Magee was a participant in the NFL Combine just a few weeks earlier and saw his stock rise with an excellent performance. He chose not to take part in most of the testing allowing his Combine results to speak for him.

Prospective NFL players had measurements taken and did the bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, 40-yard dash, and three-cone drill. The former Owls also ran position drills to help showcase their talent with the ball or against another man.

Participating players included 2023 Temple seniors: WR Amad Anderson Jr., CB Elijah Clark, SAF Tywan Francis, LB Jacob Hollins, DE/LB Layton Jordan, LB Jordan Magee, DL Jerquavion Mahone, TE David Martin-Robinson, QB/TE Quincy Patterson, LB Yvandy Rigby, TE Jordan Smith.

Additional student-athletes working out at Temple's STAR Complex included former Owl LB Gage Panno, whose 30 reps in the bench press led all participants. In addition 13 players from local schools – RB TD Ayo-Durojaiye (Villanova),RB Chris Collier (Lock Haven), DB Quentin Gaskill (Bloomsburg), DB Jaden Key (Penn), DB Damon Matthews (Maine), QB Marquez McCray (Monmouth), DL Micah Morris (Penn), OL Seth Osborne (St. Francis), LB Billy Schaeffer (Lafayette), WR Kyle Sheets (Slippery Rock),WR Darryle Simmons (Marshall), WR Dawson Snyder (St. Francis), and OL Nick Stazer (Slippery Rock) - were participants.
