Barber Headlines AAC Weekly Lacrosse Honors

IRVING, Tex. - Maddie Barber led a trio of Owls honored by the AAC for the eighth week of the season, earning her second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week award. Belle Mastropietro and Mackenzie Roth were also named to the conference's weekly honor roll.
Barber was solid all-around in Saturday's 12-5 win over Old Dominion, picking up five ground balls, causing four turnovers, and winning four draw controls. She led an Owls defense that limited ODU to 12 total shots and nine shots on goal, forced 25 turnovers, and held tied a season best with five goals allowed.
Mastropietro and Roth each contributed four points to Temple's effort on Saturday. Mastropietro recorded her 18th consecutive multi-goal game with two goals and two assists, while Roth finished with a goal and three assists. Roth raised her career assist total to 92, a new Temple record.
Temple will be back on the road this Saturday when they travel to James Madison for a battle at the top of the AAC standings. First draw is set for 12:00pm.
