Men's Crew Competes in Bergen Cup Regatta

PHILADELPHIA - The No. 23 Temple University men's crew team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday before the Owls competed in the Bergen Cup Regatta.

Prior to the races, Temple honored seniors Fran Bruzek, Theodore Glenn, Adam Oliver, Marco Palomo, Kenneth Raynor and Brandon Van Vuuren for their service to the program.

Competing against multiple teams ranked in the top-20, the 2V8+ led the way for the Owls. Rowing in Kevin Murphy '89, Frederick Mehra (coxswain), Konstantin Kluge (stroke), Lars Veckenstedt, Adam Curran, Van Vuuren, Lukas Wojciechowski, Bruzek, Ryan Spellman and Stephen Gloyd (bow) turned in a time of 6:13.0, finishing in a dead heat for second.

TU has next weekend off from competition as it gears up for the 85th annual Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J. on May 10-11.
