PHILADELPHIA - The Temple Owls (1-4, 0-2) fell to the Army Black Knights (4-0, 3-0) at home on Thursday night. Army QB Bryson Daily scored three rushing touchdowns and added 152 yards on the ground. For the Owls, WR Dante Wright caught eight passes for 98 yards while LB Tyquan King recorded 14 tackles, nine of which were solo tackles.

How it Happened

Army opened the scoring with a 61-yard touchdown rush from RB Noah Short, making the score 7-0 Black Knights with 9:48 remaining in the first quarter.
The Black Knights extended their lead with an 8-yard rushing touchdown from Bryson Daily with 11:50 left in the first half.
Daily added another rushing touchdown on Army's first drive of the second half, giving the Black Knights a 21-0 advantage with 10:50 remaining in the third quarter.
Army moved their advantage to 28-0 with a 28-yard touchdown run from Kanye Udoh with 5:22 left in the third quarter.
Temple got on the board with 1:10 remaining in the third quarter, as QB Evan Simon connected with WR Dante Wright on a 29-yard touchdown pass.
The Owls continued to cut into the lead with 11:19 remaining in the game. TE Daniel Evert caught a pass over the middle from Simon and went all the way for a 54-yard touchdown. Temple converted a two-point conversion with Simon finding WR Antonio Jones in the back of the endzone.
Army responded when Daily scored his third rushing touchdown of the game. This gave the Black Knights a 35-14 lead with 7:36 left in the contest.
After hauling in an interception, Army WR Cam Schurr caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from QB Dewayne Coleman to secure the Black Knights' 42-14 win over the Owls.

Statistically Speaking

Freshman TE Daniel Evert now has three career receptions; two of which have resulted in touchdowns.
LB Tyquan King led all players with 14 tackles, including nine solo tackles. This marks the second game in a row King has recorded double-digit tackles.

Andreas Keaton, Dante Wright, James Della Pesca, and Evan Simon served as game captains.
TE Daniel Evert, DT K.J. Miles, LB Antwone Santiago all started their first career games.
