Temple University Student-Athletes Register School-Record 3.44 GPA for Fall 2024 Semester

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University student-athletes put together another outstanding semester in the classroom in the Fall of 2024. Temple student-athletes combined for a 3.44 semester grade point average, the highest fall grade point average on record.

This marks the 26th consecutive semester that Temple student-athletes have accumulated a GPA above a 3.0, and the sixth straight semester they have achieved a GPA of 3.25 or higher. All athletic programs earned a semester GPA above 3.0.

Women's tennis had the highest GPA of any team, registering an incredible 3.77 GPA, and eight teams in total achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher – women's tennis, men's tennis, women's cross country, women's rowing, women's fencing, field hockey, women's gymnastics, and women's lacrosse.

A total of 47 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA and 80% of student-athletes earned a 3.0 GPA or higher. This marked the sixth consecutive semester where over 70 percent of student-athletes earned a 3.0 or above, including 100 percent the women's gymnastics team.
