Keeler Introduces Special Teams Coaches

PHILADELPHIA – Temple Football head coach K.C. Keeler today introduced his new special teams' staff. Led by special teams coordinator Brian Ginn, the unit also includes specialist coach Rick Brown, and special teams analyst John Fisher.
Fisher is a holdover who was initially hired in 2022. Both Ginn and Brown are new to Temple but are familiar with the Northeast both having worked with Keeler at Delaware including the 2003 National Championship season.

Brown will be the first full-time specialist coach in Temple history. As such he will work with the kickers, punters and long snappers on proper techniques in the kicking game.
Brown is reunited with Keeler. The two led Delaware to a FCS national championship in 2003. Brown has had other stops in the tri-state area including Holy Cross (1995-2001), Camden Catholic (2004-10), and Eastern Regional high schools. He also served as Football commissioner in Marlton Township for seven years.
He comes from a family of specialty coaching. His brother Randy is a special teams coach with the Baltimore Ravens, and his nephew Tyler holds a similar role with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Brown is a 1993 graduate of Colgate University with a degree in English and education.
John Fisher, Special Teams Analyst
Fisher originally joined the Temple Football staff as a special teams analyst in 2022 and then spent the 2023 season at Pitt. He initially came to Temple from Tiffin where he was a graduate assistant, working with the defensive backs and specialists.
Prior to Tiffin, Fisher worked under P.J. Fleck at Minnesota as a special teams intern.
In 2019, Fisher was a defensive backs intern at Morehead State. He has also spent time as a marketing intern for the Pittsburg Steelers and a recruiting assistant for West Virginia, where he completed his bachelor's degree in marketing in 2018.

Brian Ginn, Special Teams Coordinator
Ginn, a trusted assistant for Keeler during his entire time at Delaware, was Keeler's first coaching hire when taking the Temple head coaching job.
A former Blue Hen standout quarterback and 1999 team captain, Ginn spent 18 seasons with the Delaware staff. He served in a variety of roles on the UD staff following his graduation in 2000.
He served as running backs coach (2002-05), receivers coach (2006-07, 2009-13), quarterbacks coach (2008, 2014-15), and tight ends coach (2016-17). Ginn also was Delaware's offensive coordinator for Keeler in 2008 and served as passing game coordinator in 2009-12.
Hired by the Bears in 2018 as offensive quality control, a position held for two seasons before transitioning to special teams. The Bears 2020 special teams unit was ranked seventh in the NFL by Pro Football Focus and improved to sixth in 2021. He was hired by Bears head coach Matt Nagy, a former teammate at Delaware and currently the offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs.
During his 23 seasons affiliated with the Delaware football program as a player and coach, Ginn was a part of teams that posted 17 winning seasons, captured five conference titles, been named Lambert Cup champions six times, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in eight seasons. He played a big part in helping Delaware win the NCAA national title in 2003 and make title game appearances in 2007 and 2010 under Keeler.
A four-year standout quarterback for the Blue Hens under Hall of Famer Tubby Raymond, Ginn earned his degree in consumer economics from Delaware in 2000. The Yorktown, Va., native resides in Newark with his wife, Rachele, their twin daughters, Addison and Riley, and son, Brayden.
