UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - Temple men's tennis put up an intense fight but fell short against Penn State University, 4-2, on Saturday morning. The Owls started strong by securing the doubles point, but the Nittany Lions capitalized in singles play to edge out the win.

How It Happened
- The Owls claimed the doubles point with victories on courts one and three. Martim Marujo and Adam Kresina defeated Charl Morgan and David Lindsay, 6-4, while Dante Russo and Maj Najvirt Kolaric earned a 6-3 win over Marcus Schoeman and Reiya Hattori. Despite a setback at No. 2 doubles, where Pranav Nemani and Aayush Bhat was down 5-4Â to Penn State's Sam Bossem and Loren Byers, Temple took an early 1-0 lead into singles.
- In singles action, Kolaric shone for Temple, delivering a commanding 6-2, 6-2 victory over Bossem on court three. However, the Nittany Lions found success across the other courts. Loren Byers defeated Marujo at the No. 1 spot, 6-4, 6-3, while Schoeman edged Bhat in a closely contested match, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6).
- Penn State's Reiya Hattori and David Lindsay added straight-set wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively, over Nemani and Russo. Meanwhile, Kresina's match against Morgan was left unfinished in the third set, with Morgan leading 7-6 (7-1), 6-7 (4-7), 5-2.
