Men’s Tennis Heads on the Road for Matches Against Howard, Brown, and Bryant

PHIADELHPIA - Men's tennis is set to compete on the road, taking on Howard University on February 7, Brown University on February 9, and Bryant University on February 10.

SCOUTING TEMPLE:
- Martim Marujo and Adam Kresina helped Temple secure the doubles point with a 6-4 win over Charl Morgan and David Lindsay in their No. 1 match against Penn State.
- Maj Najvirt Kolaric, a sophomore, had a standout performance in singles, cruising to a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Sam Bossem at the No. 3 spot.
- From Hyderabad, India, Aayush Bhat battled hard but ultimately fell to Marcus Schoeman 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) in a tightly contested No. 4 singles match.
SCOUTING HOWARD
- Howard University men's tennis team lost 7-0 to Delaware. Sophomores Michael Major, Jr. (Nassau, Bahamas) and Kendrick Lash (Winston-Salem, N.C.) were defeated 6-2 at No. 1 doubles by Tobey Lock and Euan Mackenzie. In singles, graduate Hassimiyou Dieng (Dakar, Senegal) battled in the No. 5 slot but ultimately fell short.
SCOUTING BROWN
- Howard University's men's tennis lost to Purdue and Indiana last weekend. Against Purdue, they secured three singles wins, with Alex Finkelstein leading the way, but struggled in doubles, falling 4-3. On Sunday, despite early doubles win from Finkelstein and Zander Bravo, Indiana took control with three straight-set singles victories, resulting in a 4-0 loss.
SCOUTING BRYANT
- Bryant University men's tennis secured a 5-2 victory over Brandeis University, with strong performances in both doubles and singles. In doubles, Myles Peterson and Daniel Baquero won 6-3, and Manveer Boparai and Miguel Angel Machado claimed a 6-2 victory. In singles, Bryant got wins from Machado (6-2, 6-2), Peterson (6-2, 4-6, 7-5), and Boparai (6-2, 6-2), along with a default win from Alec Martinez, leading to the 5-2 team triumph.
