David Martin-Robinson

Owls in the NFL - Week 6

10.14.25 | Football

With Week 6 of the NFL season in the books, we've officially reached the one-third mark of the season. Let's take a look at how our Temple Owls performed around the league this week.

In Las Vegas, David Martin-Robinson (2018–23) found the end zone for the first time in his NFL career, hauling in a goal-line touchdown pass from quarterback Cam Ward. The catch marked Martin-Robinson's first reception of the season and just the second of his career. His score, however, would be the only touchdown for the Titans, who fell to the Raiders 20–10.

Monday Night Football featured multiple former Owls facing off, as offensive lineman Dion Dawkins (2013–16) and safety Sam Franklin (2016–19) of the Buffalo Bills went head-to-head with defensive end Arnold Ebiketie (2017–20) and the Atlanta Falcons. Ebiketie made an impact with three tackles in the Falcons' 24–14 victory, while Dawkins helped anchor a Bills' offense that totaled 291 yards. Franklin did not record any tackles in the loss.

The other Monday night matchup featured defensive end Jacob Martin (2014–17), linebacker Jordan Magee (2019–23), and the Washington Commanders taking on the Chicago Bears. Martin tallied three tackles—putting him just one shy of matching his total from all of last season—while Magee added one of his own. Despite their efforts, Washington fell just short in a 25–24 defeat.

Down in Tampa Bay, head coach Todd Bowles (1982-85) and linebacker Hasson Reddick's (2013-16) Buccaneers squared off against offensive lineman Matt Hennessey's (2016-19) San Francisco 49ers. Reddick was solid, racking up three tackles and a half sack while Hennessey did not play. The Bucs went on to beat the Niners 30-19 as Bowles' squad improved to 5-1 on the season

Brandon McManus (2009–12) sat out Green Bay's 27–18 win over the Bengals due to a quad injury. His status for next week's game in Arizona remains uncertain.

Cornerback Rock Ya Sin (2018) picked up four tackles in Detroit's loss to the Chiefs. Cornerback Christian Braswell (2017-20) did not play in Jacksonville's 20-12 loss to the Seahawks.
