PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University men's crew team posted five top-five finishes, including a pair of second-place showings at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The freshman/novice four crew of coxswain Nathan Curran, and oarsmen Jack Foltz, Eamon Matlock, James Monkley, and Christopher Gordon crossed the finish line in 13:02.232 to finish second, in front of Fairfield and Colgate.
Also earning a runner-up silver was the championship four boat comprised of Konstantin Kluge, Yannick Van Dijk, Leonidas Kopidis, Sebastian Rawson, and coxswain Ryan Brady.
The group of Owls earned a win over La Salle's top four and was behind only the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to the two boats that registered second-place finishes, Temple's second championship four crew finished fourth, the men's championship eighth closed in fourth, and the second freshman/novice four boat closed in fifth position.
