Owls Conclude Final Road Test at Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Temple men's soccer team fell to the Charlotte 49ers on Tuesday night, by a score of 7-0. The Owls will close the 2025 season next at home against UAB on Sunday, Nov. 2.
How it Happened
- The 49ers hit the ground running on offense early, with three goals scored in the first 17 minutes of play. The Niners would add another in the 28th minute to grow their lead to four, with this margin holding til the break.
- In the second half, the Niners would pick up right where they left off, converting in the 59th minute to grow their advantage to five. Aiden O'Sullivan would look for an opportunity in the 69th, but his shot would be saved.
- Charlotte would close the night with two more scores, scoring in the 72nd and 83rd minutes to catapult their lead to seven, as this margin would hold to be the final score.
By the Numbers
- Four Owls contributed shots with Rocco Haeufgloeckner, Aiden O'Sullivan, Paolo Kampula, and Elliot Rigbert each contributing to the Temple attack.
- Kampula was the lone Owl to play for the full 90 minutes. Kampula currently ranks second on the team with 1292 minutes played.
- Goalkeeper Diego Dauzier's ten saves set a season-high. This bests his mark of six saves he hauled in versus Dayton (Aug. 28).
