Temple Wraps up Competition at the American Conference Championships

CONCORD, N.C. - Temple men's and women's cross country ran their first postseason meet this morning at the American Conference Championships.

The men finished with 197 points, placing sixth out of 12 teams. Mattia Zen came in first for the Owls after finishing in 27th out of 95 athletes. Tulsa claimed the American Conference Championship with its top five runners placing in the top 10, giving them a combined score of 34.

The women finished with 345 points, which put them last out of 13 schools that competed this morning. Amelia Sabatino led the Owls with a 69th-place finish out of 100 runners. Tulane took home the American Conference Championship after totaling 36 points and having its top five runners place 13th or better.
