Owls in the NFL - Week 11
11.18.25 | Football
It was an exciting afternoon in Buffalo as Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins (2013–16) and safety Sam Franklin (2016–19) took the field against head coach Todd Bowles (1982–85) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In a back-and-forth game that saw 10 lead changes, the Bills' offense totaled 414 yards, including 317 through the air, thanks to key protection from Dawkins. Bucs' linebacker Haason Reddick (2013–16) was once again out with an ankle injury and will look to return next Sunday when Tampa Bay travels to Los Angeles to face the Rams. Franklin picked up one tackle in the Bills' win.
Early Sunday morning, three former Owls had the opportunity to play in Madrid as Commanders linebackers Jordan Magee (2019–23) and Jacob Martin (2014–17), along with wide receiver Robbie Chosen (2013–15), suffered a heartbreaking 16–13 overtime defeat to the Dolphins. Despite the loss, both linebackers shined as Magee tied a career-high with five tackles, while Martin added two of his own, including a crucial 11-yard sack on third down in the first half that forced the Dolphins to settle for three. Chosen was targeted once, but did not record any receptions in the game.
In a defensive showdown on Sunday Night Football, Lions cornerback Rock Ya-Sin (2018) was all over the field in a narrow 16–9 loss to the Eagles. Ya-Sin racked up a season-high six tackles and initially made a key third-down stop that would have given the Lions the ball back down seven with under two minutes left, before a controversial pass interference call on him negated the play. He also posted a pass breakup in the loss.
Jacksonville cornerback Christian Braswell (2017–20) saw his most playing time of the year so far in the Jaguars' 35–6 triumph over the Chargers. When Jaguars' cornerback Greg Newsome left the game in the first half with an injury, Braswell filled in for the remainder of the contest. He recorded his first tackles of the season, finishing with four, and also registered a pass breakup in the win.
Linebacker Arnold Ebiketie (2017–20) recorded one tackle in the Falcons' 30–27 overtime loss to the Panthers. Center Matt Hennessey (2016–19) played on the field goal and PAT protection unit in the 49ers' 41–22 victory over the Cardinals. Tight end David Martin-Robinson (2018–23) played one snap in the Titans' 16–13 loss to the Texans.
Kicker Brandon McManus (2009–12) missed this week's Packers game with a right quadriceps injury. He will have the opportunity to return next Sunday when Green Bay takes on the Minnesota Vikings.
The following players remain on inactive rosters:
Baltimore – WR Keith Kirkwood (2014–17) – Practice Squad
Detroit – OL Michael Niese (2020–21) – Practice Squad; TE Kenny Yeboah (2016–19) – Injured
