Two former Temple cornerbacks made crucial defensive stops to help their teams to victory on Sunday afternoon.

With 2:59 remaining in the 4th quarter and New York ahead of Detroit 27-24, Giants quarterback Jameis Winston dropped back on 4th-and-goal at the Lions' six-yard line. Winston intended the pass for tight end Theo Johnson before it was batted away by cornerback Rock Ya-Sin (2018) to give Detroit the ball back. The Lions then drove down and kicked a game-tying field goal to send the game to overtime where they would eventually win to improve their record to 7-4 on the season. Detroit's win would not have been possible without Ya-Sin's crucial break up on 4th-and-goal in the endzone to give the Lions the chance to tie and send it to overtime. Ya-Sin also racked up two tackles in the win.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Arizona Cardinals also went to overtime on Sunday afternoon. With the Jaguars holding a 27-24 lead in OT, the Cardinals had the ball on 4th-and-four, needing a first down to extend the game. Cornerback Christian Braswell (2017-20) along with teammate Andrew Wingard broke up quarterback Jacoby Brisset's deep ball to seal the victory for the Jaguars. Braswell recorded a new season-high and tied a career-high with five tackles in the win.

Kicker Brandon McManus (2009-12) made his return to the field in the Packers 23-6 victory over the Vikings. McManus converted all three of his field goal attempts from 30, 32, and 40 in addition to converting both of his extra point attempts. McManus and the Packers will be back in action next on Thanksgiving to take on Ya-Sin's Lions at 1:00 pm.

On Thursday Night Football, left tackle Dion Dawkins (2013-16), safety Sam Franklin (2016-19), and the Buffalo Bills fell narrowly to the Houston Texans by a score of 23-19. The Bills totaled 326 yards of total offense behind Dawkins while Franklin continued to be a special teams ace, picking up another tackle in the loss.

Head Coach Todd Bowles' (1982-85) Tampa Bay Buccaneers were defeated 34-7 by the Rams in Los Angeles. Linebacker Haason Reddick (2013-16) remained out with a knee and ankle injury and will try to return next Sunday against the Cardinals.

Linebacker Arnold Ebiketie (2017-20) recorded one tackle in the Falcons 24-10 win over the Saints to snap their five game losing streak. Tight end David Martin-Robinson (2018-23) was not targeted in the Titans 30-24 loss to the Seahawks. Offensive lineman Matt Hennessy (2016-19) and his 49ers' teammates hosted the Panthers on Monday Night Football and came out with a 20-9 win.

Linebackers Jordan Magee (2019-23) and Jacob Martin (2014-17) along with wide receiver Robbie Chosen (2013-15) and the Washington Commanders were on a bye this week. They return next week for a Sunday Night Football matchup against the Denver Broncos.
