Atton named to PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Team

PHILADELPHIA – Friday afternoon PhillySIDA announced the 2025 Academic All-Area Team and junior punter Dante Atton got the nod onto that list.

This season, Atton has made waves on the field. Atton was named a single-digit wearer, the first specialist in program history with the honor. The Australian native has punted 62 times in 2025 for a total of 2,615 yards. Atton averaged 42.18 yards per punt this season and his long went for 60 yards. He has pinned opponents within their own 20-yard line 27 times this season. In the final regular season game against North Texas, four of Atton's five punts pinned opponents within the 10-yard line. He pinned the Mean Green at its own seven, five, and one-yard line twice in the contest. Atton was named a semi-finalist for the Ray Guy Award and was named national punter of the week for the week of Nov. 4. He was also a top eight contender for the Ray Guy weekly award four separate times.
