2.24.25 | Football
PHILADELPHIA – Recently hired Temple head football coach K.C. Keeler announced today that he has hired three people to his recruiting and scouting departments.
Khalil Ahmad was named Associate General Manager for Personnel and Recruitment; Kyle Pollock has become Associate General Manager for Personnel and Roster Management; and Nick Griffith was hired as Director of Scouting.
"I am very excited to announce the hiring of Khalil, Kyle and Nick," said Keeler. "All three have been working in player personnel at a high level and they will help me and [general manager] Clayton [Barnes] in recruiting and roster management. Adding them to the staff gives Temple a robust recruiting and scouting department that will pay dividends in both the short and long term."
Khalil Ahmad
Associate General Manager for Personnel and Recruitment
Khalil Ahmad was hired by Temple Football in February 2025 as the associate general manager, personnel and recruitment. He came to Philadelphia after two years at Penn State as the football recruiting coordinator for personnel and recruitment.
Ahmad began his career in college recruiting in 2021 at Rutgers where he worked as a player development assistant. Prior to that time he spent several years as a high school assistant coach at several N.J. high schools such as Paterson Eastside, Passaic, and Northern Valley at Demarest.
After Rutgers, Ahmad bounced back-and-forth from Syracuse to Penn State. He was the director of high school relations for the Orange in 2022, where he was able to get various top ranked prospects to visit campus and even helped secure Syracuse's top class in school history. He left for Penn State in January 2023 and spent a year with the Nittany Lions. He left in December for two months at Syracuse to be the executive director of player personnel and recruiting, securing another top class for the Orangemen. However, he would return to the Nittany Lions in February of 2024 and was the primary recruiter for many of Penn State's top high school and portal additions.
During his time with Penn State, Ahmad became well known rather quickly for his connections throughout the country as he has deep ties to Mid-Atlantic, and was also named Rivals.com B1G Up Next which honored the Top 10 up and coming recruiters in the Big Ten Conference.
Kyle Pollock
Associate General Manager for Personnel and Roster Management
Kyle Pollock was hired by Temple Football in February 2025 as the associate general manager for personnel and roster management. He came to Philadelphia after one year at Old Dominion as the director of player personnel.
In his role, Pollock supports General Manager Clayton Barnes, overseeing the program's recruiting board and database, managing the team roster numbers, and assisting in the high school and college scouting process.
Under Pollock's leadership, Old Dominion signed the highest ranked class in program history in 2024. He oversaw all aspects of the recruiting operation, including the recruiting board, player transition to campus, scholarship numbers, planning coaches travel, and arranging and executing all official and unofficial visits.
Pollock joined Old Dominion after spending four seasons at Ohio University, including his last two as the director of recruiting. The 2023 class was the highest rated in Ohio history, both by average prospect rating and conference ranking. During his time in Athens, Pollock assisted in the recruitment of 10 of the top 20 recruits in program history. Prior to his role as the director of recruiting, he spent two seasons as the assistant director of player personnel.
Pollock is a 2020 graduate of Penn State and served as a recruiting intern for the Nittany Lions for three seasons. The Cranford, N.J., native also served as a college scout for the XFL during its inaugural season, evaluating the Big Ten and Conference USA.
Nick Griffith
Director of Scouting
Nick Griffith was hired by Temple Football in February 2025 as the director of scouting. He came to Philadelphia after one year at Georgia as the player personnel analyst.
He was responsible for oversight on the transfer portal process, as well as identifying, evaluating, and recruiting tight ends. Before UGA, he served as a college personnel assistant at Florida from 2022-23, where he worked primarily with the transfer portal evaluation process.
Griffith earned his undergraduate degree in sports management from North Florida in 2020 and completed his master's in sports management from Florida in 2022.
