Men's Tennis Defeats Navy 4-3 with Strong Singles Play

ANNAPOLIS, MD - Temple men's tennis secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over Navy, rallying back from a doubles deficit with four singles wins to clinch the match.

How It Happen

The Owls fell behind early as Navy claimed the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. Despite a strong performance from Aayush Bhat and Martim Marujo at No. 3, who secured a 6-2 win over Graydon Buckingham and Zach Quattro, the Midshipmen took the point with victories on the top two courts.
Navy extended its lead in singles play with a win at No. 1, but Temple quickly responded. Pranav Nemani put the Owls on the board with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5, followed by Erden Er's three-set battle at No. 6, where he emerged victorious 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.
Dante Russo kept the momentum going with a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 3, setting up Maj Najvirt Kolaric for the match-clinching victory at No. 2, rallying to defeat Tommy Kim 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.
