Owls Come Up Short Against Pitt in 13-10 Home Defeat

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's lacrosse (2-8) fell at home to the Pittsburgh Panthers (6-5) following a 13-10 defeat on Tuesday afternoon at Howarth Stadium. Erin King scored four goals, while Sabrina Martin finished with three goals on the day.

How it Happened

Erin King and Laura Conner helped Temple tie the game at 2-2 after Pitt's Paige Telatovich and Avery Moon scored goals in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Temple and Pitt each scored four goals before halftime. Sabrina Martin and King each scored twice to help the Owls tie the game at 6-6.
In the second half, Jenna Facciolli scored to help ignite Temple's offense in the third quarter after the Owls trailed 9-7 to Pitt, following goals from Kaitlyn Giandonato and Jenna Hendrickson, who had two goals in the third.
Facciolli, Martin, and King scored to cut Pitt's lead to three, but the Panthers added four more goals to close the game out at 13-10.
