Owls Come Up Short Against Pitt in 13-10 Home Defeat

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's lacrosse (2-8) fell at home to the Pittsburgh Panthers (6-5) following a 13-10 defeat on Tuesday afternoon at Howarth Stadium. Erin King scored four goals, while Sabrina Martin finished with three goals on the day.
How it Happened
- Erin King and Laura Conner helped Temple tie the game at 2-2 after Pitt's Paige Telatovich and Avery Moon scored goals in the first quarter.
- In the second quarter, Temple and Pitt each scored four goals before halftime. Sabrina Martin and King each scored twice to help the Owls tie the game at 6-6.
- In the second half, Jenna Facciolli scored to help ignite Temple's offense in the third quarter after the Owls trailed 9-7 to Pitt, following goals from Kaitlyn Giandonato and Jenna Hendrickson, who had two goals in the third.
- Facciolli, Martin, and King scored to cut Pitt's lead to three, but the Panthers added four more goals to close the game out at 13-10.
Up Next
Temple will return home on Saturday, March 29, to face ECU. Game time is set for noon and will be televised on ESPN+.
