PHILADELPHIA - The Temple Football program played host to its annual Pro Day on Thursday, March 27, as nearly a dozen former Owls participated in the event in front of a group of NFL scouts representing over two dozen teams. With just one invitation to the NFL Combine this year for these players, the Pro Day marked the best opportunity for the athletes to showcase their talent in front of NFL personnel.
Senior kicker Maddux Trujillo was a participant in the NFL Combine just a few weeks earlier and saw his stock rise with an excellent performance. He kicked in front of coaches and scouts today and continues to be invited to NFL clubs for private workouts.
Attending Pro Day were 2024 Temple product Jordan Magee, a fifth round selection by the Washington Commanders, and Temple head coach K.C. Keeler.
Prospective NFL players had measurements taken and did the bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, 40-yard dash, and three-cone drill. The former Owls also ran position drills to help showcase their talent with the ball or against another man.
Participating players included 2024 Temple seniors: WR Ashton Allen, DE/OLB Diwun Black, TE James Della Pesca, DB Elijah Deravil, DT Latrell Jean, SAF Andreas Keaton, OL Wisdom Quarshie, CB Torey Richardson, K Madux Trujillo, LB D.J. Woodbury, WR Dante Wright.
