Terrez Worthy Named to Preseason Watch List for 2025 Paul Hornung Award Presented by Texas Roadhouse

Louisville, KY – Temple senior running back Terrez Worthy has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2025 Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse.
This award was created back in 2010 by the Louisville Sports Commission and is given to the most versatile player in major college football as part of the Football Bowl Subdivision. A panel of college football experts create a preseason watch list of approximately 50 players and throughout the season the LSC staff and experts select and recognize outstanding performers for the weekly Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll.
After the completion of the week 10 regular season, the LSC staff creates and distributes an informational packet on players who made the honor roll to the 18-member selection committee. To be eligible, players must be in good standing and eligible on his team, eligible with the NCAA, and play in significant time during most or all the season. The winner will be announced on December 11, 2025. Previous winners of this award include Travis Hunter, Devonta Smith, Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, Odell Beckham Jr., among others.
Worthy enters 2025 making a big impact last season for the Owls. The senior made his Temple debut last year against Oklahoma and served as the team's primary kickoff returner. Worthy's breakout game came against UConn where he tallied 12 carries for 95 yards, including burts of 35, 22, 17, and 12-yards. Against Tulane, he rushed his longest play of his career when he took a handoff 75-yards for a touchdown.
