Owls Drop 2-0 Decision on the Road to Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Temple women's soccer (1-1-0) dropped a 2-0 decision to Navy (1-1-0) in a road matchup Sunday afternoon in Annapolis. Goalkeeper Tamsin Bynoe recorded five saves in the loss.

Both teams registered 10 total shots, but Navy held the advantage in shots on goal, 7-2.

Valentina Bitterwolf led the Owls with three shot attempts, while Shari Atkins added two.

Navy opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Marlee Heaven found the net off an assist from Chiara Cosenza.

The Midshipmen extended their lead in the 71st minute, capitalizing on a Temple turnover in the defensive third. Madison Whitworth slotted home the goal to make it 2-0.

Bynoe faced 10 total shots and tallied five saves for the Owls.
